What is Program Planning?
Did your Scouts have the Mountaintop Scouting experience last year? Did your Scouts miss out on any fun activities because the unit didn't have a plan? Did families and Scouts leave your unit because the unit couldn't tell them what to expect when they joined?
A common element of strong Scouting units is that they have a good annual program planned a year in advance that is then shared with all families in the form of a calendar. The results of a shared annual program calendar with funding plan is that your unit will attract more families and Scouts will stay involved in Scouting for a longer time because they are receiving the Mountaintop Scouting experience.
The purpose of the May Program Planning Kick-off & Training is to help all of our units plan for the 2018-2019 program year.
Each Unit will receive all of the supplies and training necessary to plan & budget your upcoming year of Scouting!
