HomeVolunteersState of Wisconsin – Office of the Governor issues Proclamation

2/1/2012 MADISON, WI – Eagle Scouts from Potawatomi Area Council, Chippewa Valley Council, Gateway Area Council, Glacier’s Edge Council, Samoset Council, Three Harbors Council, Blackhawk Area Council, and Bay-Lakes Council helped restart the tradition of an Eagle Scout from Wisconsin presenting a “Boy Scouts of America Annual Report” to the Governor during the first week of February.

In honor of 100th anniversary of the first Eagle Scout, Arthur R. Eldred, and the restarting of the “Boy Scouts of America Annual Report” to the Governor.  Governor Scott Walker proclaimed 2012 as the Year of the Eagle Scout throughout the State of Wisconsin.

After presenting each Councils’ annual report to the Governor, the Eagle Scouts got a chance to talk with Supreme Court Justice Ann Walsh Bradley and take a tour of the state capital.
