Boy Scout Outdoor Program

Outdoor adventure is the promise made to boys when they join Scouting. Boys yearn for outdoor programs that stir their imagination and interest.

Summer Camp

Summer camp is what many Scouts enjoy most. Camp programs provide numerous opportunities for Scouts to earn merit badges along their advancement trail.  The Glacier's Edge Council hosts Boy Scout Summer Camp at Ed Bryant Scout Reservation.  For complete information about the fantastic program at EBSR, click here.

Camporees

Councils and districts plan camporees and other outings during the year that give Scouts an opportunity to test their knowledge and skills in competitive events with other troops and patrols. Throughout the year, the Glacier's Edge Council hosts many camporees on the district and council level.  See the calendar below!

Council High Adventure

Annually, the Glacier's Edge Council sponsors contingents to attend the national high adventure bases owned and operated by the Boy Scouts.  Stay tuned for information on the 2018 and 2019 trips!

National High Adventure Bases

The BSA operates national high-adventure bases and programs. With two locations in the Florida Keys, the Florida National High Adventure Sea Base offers a variety of aquatic and boating programs. The Northern Tier National High Adventure Program, based in northern Minnesota with two satellite bases in Canada, provides a variety of canoe treks and programs. Philmont Scout Ranch in the mountains of New Mexico provides excellent backpacking treks. Age requirements for these programs vary, but most programs are rugged and designed for older Scouts.
